What else we can find at Izmir Culture and Arts Factory?
You can have access to 3 librairies with a free access to everyone. The first library is called «Atatürk Special Library» this library have books only about Atatürk and the war of independence. The Second Library is called «Alsancak Public Library». This library is not specialised on any subject, it contains a wide variety of books for all uses. Finally, the third librairie is called «Turkic World Music Special Library». This library is centered on the sound culture. The evolution of music, books about the music during the antiquity and it even give the access to artists. All the librairies have a children’s area for those aged 3 or more.
How can we go to the museum?
How to access :
- By bus if you take the line 930 and stop at the bus stop named “Tekel” or “Bahribaba” and then walk for 2 minutes to the north to access the museum
- By taxi, just ask the driver where you want to go
- If you are far from the museum, You can use the Izban and go to the station named Alsancak. Take the line “Menemen-Cumaovasi” and got the the terminal station “Alsancak”. When you arrive at Alsancak, walk to the south on the “Atatürk Cd.” and you will arrive to the museum.
- By tramway, if you take the line T2, you have to go the the stop «Atatürk Spor Salonu». When you arrive at this stop, Continue to the north by foot for 8 minutes and you will arrive to the museum.
- By foot, if your hotel is located in a street nearby the museum, like «Sair Esref Blv» you can access to the fabric really easily.

Yes, you are able to use your bank card to pay your entrance to the museum.
What can we see at the museum?
You can see multiple artifacts from multiple different periods. You can find tools from the stone age, extremly well-preserved pots and sculptures from antiquity, multiple artisanal masterpieces from multiple periods, the evolution of textile work, a variety of weapons, a multitude of representation of everyday scenes. There is also a representation of Atatürk and his army. Finally, in the second building are exposed a large collection of paintings and sculpture of modern artists. It’s a place with a rare collection full of history and show how important the history of Turkey is!
