Yes you can, it’s located in the Selcuk/Izmir Region. You just need to buy ticket by way of agency or individually. 

It’s completely safe, the ancient city is surrounded by the mountains and there are only 2 entrance with guards. 

Completely worth, if you’re into architecture, mythology besides you will see both Greek and Roman ruins in the same area.
